In 2017, I began volunteering at KFAI Community Radio, 90.3 FM, in Minneapolis, MN. One of the activities that interested me was joining their Cart Crew; the group that writes, records, and produces underwriting and station promos. Not only to practice my voiceover work, but to refine my copywriting craft. Soon after joining, it became clear that everyone enjoyed recording and producing the ‘mini-movies’ that I brought in. I bring in an average of six scripts per week that are recorded and produced in the KFAI studios. I’m very honored that two of the promotional spots I’ve written are finalists in the 2022 Radio Mercury Awards.
